I added this to the GmotD, but I wanted to put more info here. Basically, SGs currently are limited to 250 characters (not players, characters). We're a bit under 200 atm, so I am going to need to make some space soon. But, we have plenty of room, because I know we have at least 20ish members who no longer are subscribing. But, Cryptic has still not added a "last seen" thing to the interface, so it's hard to tell who's who. So, how I'm going to do it is: I'll be booting anyone of the rank Silly Newbie Person in a few weeks. All you have to do to get promoted is ask, but I started giving out ranks a month and change after release, so many people who quit after the 30 days will still be that rank.
There's other benefits to being promoted, aside from not getting accidentally purged. Several vault tabs aren't able to be accessed by the unpromoted, and they have a lower withdraw limit and can't set the GmotD. Waffles and Pancakes can both promote players, however waffles, being technically a lower rank, can only promote to the waffle rank. Other than that the ranks are identical.
So pick your side, and get promoted ASAP! I'll try and not boot peoples' alts if I recognize them, but just to be sure, get your alts promoted too! If you do accidentally get the boot when it happens, let anyone know, they can reinvite you. We're not near the point where we have to restrict who can be invited to the SG, we have a good 50 spots available without doing anything, I just want to make sure we don't ever have to restrict alts
