To post a build:
You first need to download championBuilder, available here:
champions.zarzu.ch/download.html
After inputting your build, press ctrl+e (or go to Export>>Normal Forum Export, or Plain Text Export). Then start a new post here, and press ctrl+v (or right click>>paste). Easy as that!
Alternatively, you can be a shlub, not download the program, and type it in manually
To post a costume:
Go to either the tailor or costume section of the character creator, and when you have your costume nice and shiny, press the "save" button. Personally, I make sure I enter the name of the character into the slot for it at the end, as it saves the file name with that information on it, and you can't change the file name or it breaks the file.
This file will be saved in your screenshots folder (Cryptic Studios>>Champions Online>>Live>>Screenshots). It not only is a screenshot of your character as the cover of a comic book (see attached), it also contains the actual information for someone to download and load the file, and use the costume, so you don't have to incessantly ask them how they got a piece. You can also just take a screenshot if you just want a picture of your character, by pressing the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. These are saved to the same place.
After getting your screenshot, go to your post, and click on the "Browse" button at the top, in the "Attachment" field. Find your screenshot file, and go ahead an post it, and it'll be attached ot the bottom, like the sample one of my character Force Knight.

To save the file, click on the image link, then right click on the image itself and choose "save image as," and save it to your screenshots folder.
